Flat Roofs

Flat Roofs

Most flat roofs consist of a timber decking nailed to the roof joists covered with three layers of roofing felt. Flat roofs are often used on house extensions and garages.

At Harrogate Roofing we have vast experience in flat roofing.

Using a layer of proprietary chipping compound, such as limestone, gravel or granite depending on the look, on top of the layers of felt, strengthens the surface further. The idea is for the surface to reflect rather than absorb sunlight, thus helping to protect the felt and make the felt have a longer life and mean we don’t have to come back and repair the roof as quick.

This has been done in many projects we have completed in and around the Harrogate area.
